Once again, I've ignored this blog for months. In fact, when I tried to log in, it folded its arms and turned away from me, pouting.
My life has been crazy over the last few months. I wrote a book under a pen-name that, since July, has sold over 200,000 copies, been on the NYT and USA Today bestsellers lists for four weeks, and brought about my first agency agreement.
The genre is far from what I write under my real name and for that reason, I am keeping a very large privacy wall between my real name and the pen-name. For now, anyway. The plan is to reveal it all with the third or fourth book, and that should happen sometime in 2013, probably the in the fall.
In the meantime, I'm planning my next novel under my own name. So, basically, I'm a writing machine. Along with some eating and (very little) sleeping. But it's worth it, both in terms of the experience itself and also, of course, the money, which is going to free me up to relax and write what I want to write.
Two things I've neglected to post:
An interview I did with Rediscover the '80s and a review on Everything '80s UK. Thanks to both of these sites for their interest in 49 MIX TAPES.
